Vision Christian Family - Meet the Team

John and Jocie have been engaged in pastoral ministry since 1986.  They have served in Melbourne for  25 years, in Port Au Prince Haiti for 3 years and have been ministering in Ipswich since 2014.  They have 3 married children and 11 grandchildren. Prior to church pastoral ministry John's work experience included the Victoria Police Force and Secondary School teaching.  Jocie has worked in office and school administration, as a work place trainer and is currently engaged in her own counselling practice.

Tom, Elise and their four children joined Vision in 2026. Tom has a heart for inspiring and equipping people to contribute to God's mission in the world. 

Tom is a keen long-distance runner and enjoys climbing. He has worked as a teacher for fifteen years and has written two books. His experiences include starting a youth group, serving on church eldership and pioneering an online ministry. Tom's training focused on pastoral ministry and church planting.

Stewart and Wendy have served in the church for many years. They read widely and are well-informed and keep up-to-date with all matters related to our world and the church's role in it.

Roel brings pastoral warmth, wisdom and practical know-how to our team. A man of integrity and disarming authenticity, you can count on a warm smile and words of encouragement.

Karen has a deep concern for others and constantly brings the needs of others to our meetings. She is widely read and has a heart for local and overseas mission.
